An event at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2018

The ZfL has been researching the cultural history of Georgia and the Caucasus region for more than ten years. The ZfL also cooperates with the Ilia State University of Tbilisi.
Zaal Andronikashvili, Eva Geulen and Giga Zedania will analyse the previous cooperation, discuss future projects and present new publications.

Zaal Andronikashvili is a Literary scholar and academic coordinator of the project Batumi, Odessa, Trabzon. The Cultural Semantics of the Black Sea from the Perspective of Eastern Port Cities.

Eva Geulen is the director of the ZfL, executive board member of the Centers for Advanced Studies in the Humanities Berlin and professor for European Culture and the History of Knowledge at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

Giga Zedania is the rector of the Ilia State University of Tbilisi. From 2012 to 2015 he led the ZfL project The Cultural Semantics of Georgia between the Caucasus and the Black Sea.
