Marx Now. Sigrid Weigel reads from “The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte”

For the Goethe-Institut Washington, Sigrid Weigel reads from “The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte”

What is interesting about Karl Marx even 200 years after his birth? Why do people on both sides of the Atlantic still bother reading the old philosopher of economics? And what can be learned from Marx today?
The Goethe-Institut in North America asked prominent figures in various cities in the U.S. and Germany to select and read short Marx quotes and elaborate on why these texts are still relevant today. The result is a kaleidoscope of different voices that raise the most important questions of our time and seek solutions.
