Anneleen Masschelein ist vom 01.04.2011–31.08.2011 Gastwissenschaftlerin am ZfL. Während ihres Aufenthalts am ZfL arbeitet sie mit Förderung durch den "Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek Vlaanderen" an ihrem Postdoc-Projekt Side effect or creative impulse? A comparative study or ‘residue productions’ in French and English theoretical oeuvres at the beginning of the 21st century.

Masschelein war Dozentin an der University of Amsterdam und Fellow an der Penn University Philadelphia. Ihre Doktorarbeit schrieb sie 2002 zu dem Thema The unconcept: the conceptualization of the Freudian uncanny in late-twentieth-century theory.
