Sigrid Weigel is the former director of the ZfL and Professor emerita at the Technical University of Berlin. She is one of the leading experts on Ingeborg Bachmann's work. She was a professor at the University of Zurich when her Bachmann biography, which remains authoritative, was published in 1999.
