Pain as Origin in Two Theories of Language: Herder and Benjamin

Ilit Ferber ist auf Einladung der Direktorin vom 14. April bis 31. Mai 2009 zu Gast am ZfL.

Post-Doc an der Tel Aviv University – 2008 Dissertation über den Begriff der Melancholie bei Walter Benjamin am Philosophy Department der Tel Aviv University. 1994–1998 Camera Obscura School of Photography, Tel Aviv; 1997–2002 Studium der Philosophie an der Tel Aviv University; 2004–06 Forschungsaufenthalt am German Department an der Princeton University.

Ilit Ferbers Forschungsgebiete umfassen Ästhetik, (Geschichts-)Philosophie und Psychoanalyse. In ihrem aktuellen Forschungsprojekt beschäftigt sie sich mit Theorien des Ursprungs von Sprache und Schmerz (Johann Gottfried Herder, Walter Benjamin, Jean-Jacques Rousseau und Ludwig Wittgenstein).
