Good practice

The securing of good practice takes place at the ZfL on several levels.

The ZfL is guided by the standards of good scientific practice of the Leibniz Association whose member institutions adopted the Leibniz Code for Good Research Practice in 2021. Implementing the relevant regulations of the German Research Foundation (DFG), it describes the area of scientific integrity in full and updates the existing standards in a binding manner.

The employees appoint ombudspersons who act as contact persons in all questions of ensuring good scientific practice and collegial work at the ZfL.

The achievement of equal opportunity is considered as a central principle guiding the ZfL’s work and development. The equal opportunity officers advise the institute’s management and all employees in questions of gender equality, equal opportunity and combining family and career. They make sure everyday interaction on all levels is respectful of gender and diversity issues.

The joint GWZ Works Council represents the rights and interests of all employees towards the employer.
