For this meeting of the working group Reading Groups, our guest will be Julia Grillmayr.

Julia Grillmayr is a Professor of Cultural Studies at the University of Arts Linz, specializing in science fiction studies and the environmental humanities. She earned her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Vienna. Together with Christina Gruber and Sophia Rut, she founded the collective Lobau Listening Comprehensions, conducting acoustic artistic research in and about wetlands. She received the Theodor Körner Prize in 2023 for this work. Her monograph Science Fiction Futurologien has recently been published by transcript.
