Doris Maja Krüger is a research associate at the Axel Springer Endowed Chair for German-Jewish Literature and Cultural History, Exile, and Migration at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). She earned her Ph.D. in 2025 with a dissertation on the life and work of Leo Löwenthal, which she is currently preparing to publish. She is also editing an edition of the correspondence between Theodor W. Adorno and Löwenthal, which Suhrkamp will publish as part of Adorno’s posthumous writings. In 2025, she edited the book Karl Marx in der Geschichte. Entstehung und Rezeption der Marx’schen Kritik.
Falko Schmieder is a cultural theorist and research team leader of the project The 20th Century in Basic Concepts. A Dictionary of Historical Semantics in Germany.
