Brecht-Tage 2026

The Brecht Days are a collaboration between the Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus, the Netzwerk Naturwissen at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, the Zeiss-Großplanetarium Berlin, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, the Literary Studies Department at TU Berlin and andcompany&Co.

Over the course of a week, film screenings, readings, panel discussions, and lectures will take place at various locations in Berlin. Zaal Andronikashvili, Sebastian Kirsch, and Matthias Schwartz from the ZfL are participating in the event.

Literary scholar Zaal Andronikashvili is a research associate with the project Literature in Georgia. Between Small Literature and World Literature. Theater and literary scholar Sebastian Kirsch is working on the project Street Scenes. Transformations of the Street as a Theatrical Reference Space. Slavist and historian Matthias Schwartz is deputy director of the ZfL and co-coordinator of the program area World Literature. He is head of the projects World Fiction, Post/Socialist. Eastern European Literatures and Cultures and Adjustment and Radicalisation. Dynamics in Popular Culture(s) in Pre-War Eastern Europe.
